My name is Kay Ladson and I’m running for the Wisconsin 27th Assembly District.
Meet Kay
I grew up as an only child on a small Wisconsin dairy farm. I had a terrific Wisconsin public education and I received both my undergraduate degree and master’s degree from the Universities of Wisconsin.
My first job was teaching at the High School in Elkhart Lake,Wisconsin. The students worked hard and we had fun. I left teaching to start a family. Eventually, I returned to a career in corporate finance.
When my husband’s mother was struggling, we moved to South Carolina to care for her and my husband and I started our own successful small business. I believe family should come first. And whether it’s for a newborn, your elderly mom or your injured spouse, taking care of family in sickness and health isn’t negotiable.

What I Believe
In Wisconsin, across race, place, and background, we know our worth. We are worth paychecks that equal the true value of our work, quality schools that teach the truth of our past, and clean air, water, and energy that our families can depend on.
We are worth more than the politicians in power in our state who abandon us in times of trouble, then hope we’ll shame and blame Black and brown, transgender, and new Americans for our struggles.
Our vote is our power. And when we join together as voters, we can elect leaders who know our worth and chart a better future where people in every corner of our state have the freedom to thrive, no exceptions.

Take the Survey
What are your concerns and priorities? I hope I get to meet you in person, but until then, I have a short two minute survey where you can share your top concerns with me. Click HERE or on the button below to go to the survey page.
Get Involved
I promise to always work for you, the people of Wisconsin.
But, I can’t do this without your support. A donation today will help me connect with voters by purchasing stamps, literature and yard signs. You can donate online or by sending a check.
Please consider donating $27 for the new 27th. Every penny of your donation will help me connect with the people in the district. If a financial donation is not something you can do at this time, please consider volunteering for my campaign.
In Wisconsin we value our freedoms. Yet, we see a handful of lawmakers play judge and jury, deciding and taking away very personal medical decisions. How can we be free when the government tries to control our bodies? If you believe healthcare decisions are between a woman and her doctor, no exceptions, please support my campaign today!
You are an essential part of this campaign. Click on the buttons below to sign up for the e-newsletter, to volunteer or to donate. You help is greatly appreciated.

Where is the 27th Assembly District?
The 27th is a “new” district in 2024. You are new to the district if you live in Fond du Lac County, the towns of Taycheedah, Calumet and Marshfield, Villages of Malone, Mt Calvary, and St Cloud. If you live in the Sheboygan County towns of Russell, Greenbush, Mitchell, Lyndon, Lima; the Village of Oostburg and the western half of the City of Sheboygan Falls you are also new to the district.
Areas that were in the old and are still in the new 27th district are the town of Schleswig and City of Kiel in Manitowoc County. In Sheboygan County, the Towns of Rhine, Herman, Plymouth, and Sheboygan Falls; the Villages of Elkhart Lake, Howards Grove, and Kohler; and the eastern half of the City of Sheboygan Falls are still in the 27th district.
